🥺 Do not grow thicker skin, please...
...Let's increase kindness instead :))

A few years ago, I was in the subway in Madrid.
November.
Gray faces.
Heavy air.
Not even sadness. Thick boredom instead.
I remember thinking:
A single smile here would be so good.
Not even laughter. Just a tiny smile.
It would have changed the vibe.
Now I’m in Ubud, Bali.
And here, to be noticed as kind, you almost need to be a saint.
Soft eyes.
Tender gestures.
Respect in the smallest exchanges.
Kindness isn’t exceptional.
It’s normal.
And still — even here — it can increase.
We don’t need perfection, but increase.
Because love, as a word, is exhausted.
But love in action? …Kindness.
And kindness can grow.
Many people say:
“Grow a thicker skin.”
I don’t like that.
I don’t want thicker skin.
I want a world where baby skin is enough to feel safe.
Where nervous systems can relax.
Where smiles are ordinary.
Where dignity is…, just normal.
That kind of world won’t appear because politicians or leaders decide so.
It appears when we increase. We are the leaders whether we like it or not.
One kind interaction.
Or purchase.
Or circle.
Or conversation at a time.
At Hawimi we’re, together, building spaces where kindness is practiced deliberately.
In our app.
In our circles.
Our conversations.
It’s not perfect.
It’s a kinder direction.
And you’re already part of that direction, you are still reading this ;)
And, if this moved something in you, you can share it with someone too.
Kindness can be spread.
And if you want to go deeper — there’s a community. There are circles. There’s an app.
Hawimi makes choosing kindness easier.
In essence one direction, one action at a time.
Choose Kindness, just now.
Every time you do, you are my hero,

P.S.
Imagine waking up in a world where you (and all) receives kindness in every interaction. Where softness is normal. Where baby skin is enough to feel safe. That world isn’t naïve. It’s shared, co-created, practiced into existence. I choose kindness. Let’s do it together? (if yes, follow any of the links in blue;)
